Strategy: Visualize- When we visualize, we make a picture of what we are reading in our mind. If we can picture the characters and the events, we will be able to understand the story much better.
Skill: Distinguish between Reality and Fantacy-Authors sometimes write about things that could happen in real life, and sometimes they write about things that are make-believe. Things that can happen in real life are reality, and things that cannot happen in real life are fantasy. When reading, it is important to tell what could really happen and what is made up so that you can understand what is happening in a story.

Grammar: Adjectives tell about a person, place, or thing—a noun. Words that tell about size and shape and how things look, taste, feel, smell, and sound are adjectives.
